Otherwise, how about getting a 1x12 cabinet built for, say, a SF Vibrolux Reverb?. Vibrolux Reverb uses a 125P26A (022723) Power Transformer rated at 180mA and has a 5 VAC Rectifier heater winding. Most of the others like carr, tone king, fargen, allen, heritage made "improvements" that take away from the fender sound and I really just like the fender sound.Blackie Pagano ( Expert Guitar Amp and Hi-Fi Repair in New York City by Blackie Pagano) does some custom builds.
#Blackface bandmaster head Pc
I don't want to deal with PC board amps so I won't buy a reissue fender but who is making a REAL fender amp clone? The ones that I know about are vintage sound, headstrong, victoria. It is the same as the famous 1965 and earlier blackface version(the circuit on blackface amps remained the same for a short time after CBS took over) This amp has never had a recap.

Though it’s not pictured, a Vibrato footswitch is included. The head features its original, dated to 1964 transformers, and some caps have been replaced this is ultimately necessary on virtually all amps as these parts do wear out. The original circuit is 100 intact and in great condition. The head is in Blackface garb white script logo lettering on a black panel, with black Tolex covering. I have a fargen and morgan and love them both but yesterday, I stopped at guitar center and briefly played through a twin reissue and it just blew the morgan and fargen away in terms of pure, fender goodness. This is a well cared for Fender 1966 Blackface Bandmaster Head.

Who makes a true 35w blackface fender reverb amp clone in a 1x12 form factor or head? I've tried allen, fargen, morgan and several others which have "improved" upon the fender sound but TBH, none of them have an authentic fender sound.
